Some updates.

Here is some updates. it's been guiet in here becouse i had some problems whit the fd, i bought AEM EMS and we were tuning software for the car for couple days, last day we were tuning it we hit to problem, whit full acceleration engine made wierd sound's and stopped running properly,after that we stopped to the road and checced wtf is gouing on but everything seemed to be ok. i have no idea what happened to the engine and i tried to check it next day but it seemed that point that the engine was broken again, so that was litle feed back to this machina, after that it has been sitting and waiting to be fixed. after i run whit my old CRX on track i hit a problem, my machine is too slow Maladar kick my ass totally was 7sec's behind him so i was not so happy whit my old machina but it was ok run becouse we didn't have brakes enymore and the car is still from 1983 so you cannot have hihopes from that machina but 7sec's are too much :P after track day i started tot take engine of from FD ty maladar for help, and we take the engine off and started to check the engine from damadge. we found out that the engine is ok, so now i have put the engine to it's place and tomorrow ill trye to make it run but tomorrow it will be found out.

Track Day Opening

Jeij. First track day is behind and machine is running nice and smooth. some litle problems though but other wise it was nice hot day out whit FD. one thing we notice at wery begin, and it was that we definedly need semi slicks or real slicks. cant get full potential of the machina whit thouse old tires but some day...

Something Missing?

I have this theory, and it is called datsun syndrome and i think my FD has got it not shure thouge but i think this is how it looks like.

Jeij

The keye has found the way back home, now it's time to get some work done and litle assembly to do, then onely one thing is missing and thouse are the enginemounts, but theye are coming back next week :)

Some new parts

Here some new parts.
ACT clutch for now, leiter there will be ORC 2 Plate carbon clutch.




Pulley kit's dark blue is greddy's water pump and alternator kit and the light blue is amemiya's kit.






And here we have Super Now's engine mount's needs to reshape the engine bracket litle whit cnc machine that i can install theas.

New wankel

Got the parts to engine and now it is rebuild. now some litle thing's more and i can start to put the engine back to its place. need to make engine bracket and new cluch after that it is more laite hours and work and she will run again.

Old Wankel

So i got the engine out from the car and took it whit me in work. Took first block off and it was ok no problem in there just worn out apex seals, after the secend chamber were opened i started to laugh, apex seal had braken from the midle and destroyed the rotary piston and the chamber. So i ordered new chamber and rotary piston and all seals.

Next test

So i changed the spark blugs but theye didn't help the idling problem i had but thought that she runs this summer and at winter ill check whats the problem.
I bought the aem ueco and installed it. fuel air mixature is nice in big rews but the idling its getting really much gas.
So i took her and drove to alastaro for free run, i drove all tank of gas and the engine after every round seemed to idle worse and worse, but the power and everything els was good so i didn't think that it would be problem. After last round i was thinkin that ill shut her down and smoke sigaret and left to home and that was not so good thing to do, becouse after that it woulden't start again. So i called to my frien to come whit trailer and pick me up.
After some weeks i started to look for the problem chekced every engine electronick and everything was ok, after that i checked compression of the engine and there were no compression, well i need to take the engine out and put it to peases thats not bad job to do maybe apex seals are onely broken i thought.

Plan

The plan was to get her to track asp. and the day were in ahvenisto, so i arrived to track and it was wet ass hell damn it, so we started to get now eachother better running some slow round's picking up the speed slowly but steady, i found out that FD is really slippery machine in wet really hard to put all out when you are 3rd gear and push pedal to the floor and she start's wheel spin asap when boost comes in game. Later on track starts to dry and then we had some nice lap's but found litle problem, Biggest problem whit wankel engine is the heat and i started to found out that my baby was worming up too much. so we ride that day nicely and went to home.
still that idling problem is there but lets hope that its not big thing need to bye new spark blugs maybe theye are just worn out.

Test Day

So it came new day and wankel engine says good morning to me when she starts up, and we head to work. I was driving across highway and playing whit apexi and tryeing to get some sense to the hand panel wanted to see some sensor values, after a while fould them and started to play litle whit the boost, found out that the turbos were pumping 0,95bar pressure and 8950rpm :) And the most important thing was that she put wide smile across my face :D

Finally home whit FD

Finally arrived home from work after some check up. Car is running nice and smooth exept the idling is litle od but maby that's just becouse the machine has not runned in long time.
Tomorrow we need to have litle proper test drive :)

Arrival

5.8 2008 I got really nice call from JDM Factory, he told me that she has arrived finally to finland :) Jeij the happy day.

Next day was the first meating whit my new machine, we went to port to pick her up and hurried back to work (was late onely 5hour's :P)
Same day i changet the oil and started to check the car what she was packed whit and we fould some nice surprises. FD was packed whit some parts that dealer were not told to us.
This is the list that we have now in the car, öhlin's suspension and rear upper toe bars, apexi power fc, hks intake and turbo piping, Blitz exhaust (cat back), big aluminium radiator don't know maker of that, and some meter's from defi, the rims are racing sparco.

Beginning the journey

So this is how the journey starts. I bought 1995 year FD-3S in 2008 from JDM Factor, and this is how she looked in shipyard in japan waiting shipping to finland.
